Creating and Managing a Social Venture
- This course takes place 10th to 12th of May (Thursday from 6pm to 10pm; Friday and Saturday from 9am to 6pm)
This course will help you understand the role of social entrepreneurship – with its focus on innovative approaches to finding systemic solutions – in addressing social challenges. We will discuss the critical elements of creating a sustainable venture (e.g. financial viability, attracting and growing a talented team, building a culture aligned with your values, etc.) while meeting your social impact goals.
Creating and managing a social venture is not easy, but the challenge is very rewarding. This course will offer frameworks, tools, and methodologies to structure your business model, build a team, manage your time and resources, and achieve results in order to enable the change you ultimately wish to make.
As a final deliverable, you will utilize the management tools introduced during this class to make significant progress on a real social venture idea. By the end, you will learn what it means to operate a highly effective social enterprise and feel confident in your ability to build one yourself.
